Story+Style Events Mission Statement

We're an agency for individuals and organizations who value consistency, uniqueness, and optimism.  We strive to implement uncomplicated event planning to produce fresh, energized events for each client.  Incorporating philanthropy is always a treat for us.

Our Creative Process

The foundation of every event includes the story and the style. 

1.       Tell us the objective of your event [some events educate, celebrate, commemorate, others showcase] along with the background of the event host [your organization, or perhaps yourself].

2.       We’ll target your desired event characteristics or themes [some events are colorful, happy, empowering, theatrical, funny, luxurious, informal, others spiritual – the essence of your event is endless] and build concept boards to facilitate your style selection.   

3.       Once this foundation is established, we begin building upon the event logistics to construct a fresh event and an organized experience in line with your Story+Style [and of course, your budget].

Giving Back

Beginning Summer 2017, Story+Style Events will donate 5% of proceeds from each event to a charity or non-profit based in the Washington, DC region.

R. Alyse Event Group LLC is a contemporary event management and design agency directed by hospitality visionary Raquel Alyse.  R. Alyse Event Group's colorful approach to producing seamless events [Story+Style Events] while also providing innovative resources for clients to produce their own soirees               [IDoWeDo and Ready Set Host], launches them into a class all their own.  

Raquel is blessed to have over a decade of professional experience within the hospitality and event industry.  From Walt Disney World to the Ritz-Carlton, Raquel provided seamless client services resulting in memorable guest and client experiences.  From fashion shows to oceanfront receptions, and now to corporate conferences and unique social events, Raquel cultivates her passion for special events through each new experience she is afforded.

She received her Bachelor’s degree in Sports, Entertainment & Event Management with a concentration in Hospitality Sales and Meeting Management from the Hospitality College of Johnson & Wales University in Miami, Florida.  She participated in the Wedding Coordinator certification program at Northern Virginia Community College where her passion to provide wedding planning services blossomed.  Raquel also possesses the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation, which she received through the Convention Industry Council.  

She resides in Alexandria, VA with her husband Kenneth and her bichon frise Bianca.
